Congratulations on your decision to embark on the blessed journey of marriage!
Ulu Cami is honored to support couples in performing their sacred Nikah (Islamic marriage contract).
To facilitate your Nikah ceremony at our mosque, please follow these steps:
Obtain Your Marriage License: You must first acquire a valid marriage license from the City Hall in the city where you reside.
Important: When asked by City Hall, please specify that the marriage will be officiated at United Islamic Center (Ulu Cami), located at: 408 Knickerbocker Ave, Paterson, NJ 07503 (view on Google Maps).
Schedule Your Nikah Ceremony: Once you have obtained your marriage license, please contact Ulu Cami to schedule your Nikah ceremony. It is essential to confirm the date and time in advance. During the sacred Nikah ceremony, our Imam will officiate and sign your official marriage license.
Civil Marriage Registration: After the Nikah ceremony, your signed marriage license can then be submitted to your City Hall to officially register your civil marriage.
We encourage you to speak with our Imam or mosque administration if you have any questions about the Nikah requirements or process. We are here to help ensure your blessed union begins smoothly.
